About Hooking Love

At Hooking Love, I believe in the power of crochet to bring people together. My journey with crochet started as a personal hobby and quickly grew into a passion for teaching others. My classes are more than just learning stitches; they are about building a supportive community where everyone can share their love for this timeless craft.

Crochet is not only a creative outlet but also a relaxing, mindful activity that can help you unwind. I offer a variety of classes designed for beginners and intermediate crocheters, focusing on building skills, and confidence, and creating beautiful handmade pieces. My courses are structured to guide you every step of the way, with plenty of support and inspiration.

My Classes

Whether you’re picking up a hook for the very first time or looking to grow your skills, my crochet classes offer a warm, gentle space to learn, create and unwind. Each class is relaxed, friendly and designed to build confidence at your own pace, with clear guidance and plenty of encouragement along the way.

Beginners Crochet Course

Who this course is for Absolute beginners, returning crocheters, or anyone who has always wanted to learn but never quite known where to start. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try.

What we do each week Across six sessions, you’ll learn the core stitches, how to hold your hook and yarn comfortably, how to read your work, and how to build simple shapes. Each week builds on the last, with plenty of time to practise and ask questions.

What you’ll gain Confidence, calm, and the skills to begin crocheting independently. By the end of the course, you’ll understand the foundations well enough to start simple projects and continue growing at your own pace.

If the course dates don’t work for you You’re very welcome to join one of my All Skills Level classes instead. Beginners are fully supported in these sessions, and you’ll receive the same gentle, step‑by‑step guidance while learning alongside a friendly mix of crocheters.

What Students Are Saying

★★★★★

“Keely is an inspirational tutor who clearly loves being able to help and inspire experienced crocheters and people who are new to crocheting and wishing to learn – Keely’s patience knows no bounds! Classes are fun and light-hearted, aided by welcome cups of tea or coffee and of course the essential biscuits.”

Marion T.

★★★★★

“ I really enjoyed the day. I thought I’d be there for about an hour….couldn’t believe it when I looked at my watch and saw I’d been there three hours! Time flies when you’re having fun! Thank you for your positive approach and encouragement with each and every one of us..”

Sarah F.

★★★★★

“I have always loved crafts but I am not a natural! I have been thrown off a sewing course because I just didn’t “get it”. Keely has been such a supportive and patience teacher and whilst I haven’t found it easy I am thrilled that I have advanced enough to be currently making a Jumper.”

Catherine H.
